After a referral from ICYMHS, Avenues Education provides targeted educational services to individual students experiencing social, emotional, and/or mental health difficulties in accessing education.
Our Curriculum:
- Is committed to supporting you intellectually, emotionally, and socially by being tailored to your learning needs
- Is based on the Critical and Creative Thinking, Ethical, and Personal and Social Capabilities Framework within the Victorian Curriculum
- Teaches a range of strategies that promote engagement and respectful relationships
- Is taught at your school of origin or Avenues Education locations, depending on your health needs
- Incorporates direct support to staff from your School of Origin to build their capabilities to assist you
- Supports your family to assist you in building your positive identity as a learner
- Is reflected in an Individualised Education Plan (IEP)
